If you have a device with infrared capability, such as a personal digital assistant (PDA), laptop computer, cell phone, or digital camera, you can transfer files directly from your infrared device to the printer for fast wireless printing. The printer communicates with devices that use HP JetSend, OBEX or IrLPT. Refer to your infrared device documentation to see if it uses one of these methods. For more information on how to print files from infrared, see "Printing files using infrared (IR)" on page 36. Supported devices Some of the devices supported by infrared include: • Laptop or notebook computers with infrared capability (including the HP Omnibook). It is recommended that you install the PrintConnect software that comes with the printer to configure your PC laptop or notebook computer to print using infrared.
