Before handling a drive, be sure that you are discharged of static electricity. While handling a drive, avoid touching the connector. Handle a drive carefully; do not drop it. Do not use excessive force when inserting a drive. Avoid exposing a hard drive to liquids, temperature extremes, or products that have magnetic fields such as monitors or speakers. If a drive must be mailed, place the drive in a bubble-pack mailer or other protective packaging and label the package "Fragile: Handle With Care." Before removing the hard drive, follow these steps: 1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparation for disassembly on page 19). 2. Remove the access panel (see Access panel on page 19). Remove the hard drive: To remove the hard drive mounted to the inside-front of the computer behind the bezel: 1. Disconnect the power and data cables from the back of the hard drive. 2.
