Exercise caution when moving enclosures, whether equipment is installed in the enclosure or not. Installation Installing the Server in a Rack Step 1. Install the Slide Tray Assembly. 1. Take the tray and place it onto the pins that extend from the slides' inner members. The slots with wide lead-in guides on the side of the tray fit down onto the slides' pins. The flat part of the tray will be - HP rp5400 | Carrier Grade Addendum - rp5400 Series of Servers - Page 28
so that the two spring loaded guide pins snap into the guide holes in the bottom of the server. CAUTION The typical rp5400 Series of Servers system can weigh up to 68kg (150 lbs). Safety Grounding The rp5400 Series of Server Carrier Grade System has a grounding lug on the rear panel for connecting to earth ground. The server must be connected to earth ground using a minimum 6 AWG (16mm2) wire with a suitable Listed/Certified terminal such as Thomas and Betts part number 54205 - HP rp5400 | Carrier Grade Addendum - rp5400 Series of Servers - Page 34

Connect the -48V (A) and Return (RTN A) leads to one power source and the -48V (B) and Return (RTN B) leads to a different power source. However, operation of the server without the side cover in place can make it susceptible to cooling and EMI problems.
