Installation Installing the Server in a Rack Enclosure Safety Precautions CAUTION Enclosures are heavy, even when empty. Exercise caution when moving enclosures, whether equipment is installed in the enclosure or not. Avoid rolling enclosures on rough or uneven surfaces or inclines greater than 10 degrees. Unloading enclosures from the pallet and movement of enclosures should be performed by a minimum of two people. CAUTION Do not extend slide mounted products from the enclosure while it is on the shipping pallet. Before any slide mounted equipment is extended from the enclosure, the enclosure must be unloaded from the pallet, and properly installed, with either front and/or rear anti-tip feet or ballast properly installed. CAUTION Once installed, both the front and rear anti-tip feet or ballast must remain in place to maintain stability of the enclosure. Never extend more that one slideable product at a time from the enclosure. NOTE If compliance with Belcore GR63CORE earthquake standards is desired, the enclosure used should be NEBS compliant. 10 Chapter 1
