Removal and Replace Procedures Removing and Replacing Hotswap DC Power Supplies 3. Remove the T-15 mounting screw located to the right of the handle near the top of the power supply. WARNING Use care when removing power supplies from the server. the supplies are heavier than they appears. Failure to follow this precaution can result in damage to equipment and injury to personnel. 4. Grasp the handle and pull the power supply out of the server. 5. Grasp the handle in one hand and support the power supply with the other. Figure 2-2 Removing a Power Supply Step 4. Install a power supply into the server. 1. Grasp the handle in one hand, support the power supply with the other, and slide the power supply into the server. NOTE The Power Supply LED should illuminate immediately. 2. Connect the short DC power cable connector to the connector on the seismic rack tray beneath the server. The Power Supply LED should illuminate immediately. 3. Install the T-15 mounting screw located to the right of the handle near the top of the power supply. 4. Reinstall the slide cover bracket on the front of the seismic enclosure mounting tray.
