v Systems-management capabilities The server supports an optional Remote Supervisor Adapter II SlimLine, which provides service-processor functions in addition to those that the mini-BMC provides. When this adapter is used with the systems-management software that comes with the server, you can manage the functions of the server locally and remotely. The Remote Supervisor Adapter II SlimLine also provides system monitoring, event recording, and dial-out alert capability. See the documentation that comes with your systems-management software for more information. To order an optional Remote Supervisor Adapter II SlimLine, contact your IBM marketing representative or authorized reseller. Reliability, availability, and serviceability Three important server design features are reliability, availability, and serviceability (RAS).
