12 RESETTING ■ Resetting The LCD may occasionally display erroneous information (e.g. when first applying power). This may be caused externally by static electricity or by other factors. If this problem occurs, turn power OFF. After waiting a few seconds, turn power ON again. If the problem persists, perform either or both of the procedures below. D Partial reset If you want to reset the operating conditions (VFO frequency, VFO settings, and Set modes contents) without clearing the memory contents, use the partial reset. q P ush and hold [ ] for 1 sec. to turn the power OFF. w W hile pushing and holding [VFO/MR/CALL], push and hold [ ] for 1 sec. to turn the power ON. D All reset The all reset clears all programming and returns all settings to their factory defaults. q P ush and hold [ ] for 1 sec. to turn the power OFF. w W hile pushing and holding [MONI] and [VFO/MR/CALL], push and hold [ ] for 1 sec. to turn the power ON. • "CLEAR" appears when resetting the CPU.  CAUTION: The all reset returns all programmed contents to their default settings.  NOTE: No message appears on the display after the par- tial reset is done. 49

Resetting
The LCD may occasionally display erroneous infor-
mation (e.g. when first applying power). This may be
caused externally by static electricity or by other factors.
If this problem occurs, turn power OFF. After waiting a
few seconds, turn power ON again. If the problem per-
sists, perform either or both of the procedures below.

If you want to reset the operating conditions (VFO fre-
