Product Description 1.10.1 Audio Subsystem Software The latest audio software and drivers are available from Intel's World Wide Web site. For information about Obtaining audio software and drivers Refer to Section 1.2, page 19 1.10.2 Audio Subsystem Components The audio subsystem includes the following components: • Intel H61 Express Chipset • Realtek ALC892 audio codec • Two ports for analog input and analog/digital line-out on the back panel • 7.1 Analog surround audio header (see note on page 32) • Front panel audio header that supports Intel HD audio and AC'97 audio (a 2 x 5- pin header that provides microphone in and headphones signals for front panel audio connectors) • Internal S/PDIF or DMIC header (1 x 6-pin header) • Internal stereo speakers connector (1 x 4-pin, shrouded) The back panel audio connectors are configurable through the audio device drivers. Back Panel Audio Connectors NOTE The analog circuit of the back panel audio line out connector is designed to power headphones or amplified speakers only. Audio Subsystem Components
The audio subsystem includes the following components:
