2-43 25. Replacing the Projection Lamp Use the following procedure to replace the Projection Lamp whenever a reduction in brightness on the screen is detected or whenever the lamp burns out. Make sure that the replacement lamp is specified for use with this scanner. (DC20V 150W DDL type) If the Projection Lamp should burn out during a print operation, an L2 code will appear and the print job will stop (a blank piece of paper may be output depending upon the stage of the job). Once the system detects that the Projection Lamp has burnt out, the scan job will be cancelled. If the system is operating in the Cycle Print Mode, the scanning operation will stop. CAUTION Do not touch with bare hand and extremely hot Projection Lamp immediately after the scanner has been turned OFF. 1 Place the Power Switch in the OFF position and slide the Projection Unit out of the scanner. 3 Remove the Projection Lamp from the Lamp Socket. 25. Replacing the Projection Lamp
Use the following procedure to replace the Projection Lamp whenever a reduction in bright-
ness on the screen is detected or whenever the lamp burns out. Make sure that the replace-
ment lamp is specified for use with this scanner. (DC20V 150W DDL type)
If the Projection Lamp should burn out during a print operation, an L2 code will appear and
the print job will stop (a blank piece of paper may be output depending upon the stage of the
job). Once the system detects that the Projection Lamp has burnt out, the scan job will be
cancelled. If the system is operating in the Cycle Print Mode, the scanning operation will
stop.
CAUTION
Do not touch with bare hand and extremely hot Projection Lamp immediately after the
scanner has been turned OFF.

Place the Power Switch in the OFF
position and slide the Projection Unit
out of the scanner.

Remove the Projection Lamp from
the Lamp Holder.

the Lamp Socket.
