Fusing section Pressure roller Fusing roller Transport motor A034T2C552AA 16.3 Operation 16.3.1 Fusing temperature control • To fuse the toner image on the media (image yet to be permanently fixed) properly into the media, the heater lamps are turned ON and OFF as necessary to bring the fusing temperature to an appropriate level. • Thermistors are used to detect the surface temperature of the Fusing roller. The heater lamps are then turned ON and OFF as necessary to achieve the set temperature.
