1. Locate the bay for the power supply in the rear of your server. Insert a finger into the hole in the metal shield that protects the bay, press the tab 1 in the direction as shown, and then pull the shield out of the chassis. Store the shield in case you later remove the power supply and need the shield to cover the bay. ID Figure 64. Removing the protective shield for the power supply bay 2. Touch the static-protective package that contains the new hot-swap redundant power supply to any unpainted surface on the outside of the server.
