Reinstall the print cartridge., If the jam occurs in the fuser

If the jam occurs in the fuser: 1 Open the printer cover. 2 Remove the print cartridge (it may be warm). Note: Exposing the photoconductor to light may damage the print cartridge. After you remove the print cartridge from the printer, cover it or store it in a clean, dark place. 3 Gently pull out the media. Fuser Roller CAUTION: Avoid touching the fuser, it may be hot! 4 If the media is jammed tightly behind the roller, or if you just can't get a grip on it, close the cover, open the front output door, and pull out the paper. 5 Make sure there is no more media in the printer. 6 Reinstall the print cartridge. 7 Close the printer cover to resume printing. A jam may occur if the output bin is too full and the media is unable to exit the printer: 1 Empty the media from the output bin. 2 Clear the jam. 47

If the jam occurs in the fuser:

Open the printer cover.

Remove the print cartridge
(it may be warm).
Note:
Exposing the photoconductor to light may damage the print cartridge. After you
remove the print cartridge from the printer, cover it or store it in a clean, dark place.

Gently pull out the media.
CAUTION:
Avoid touching the fuser, it may be hot!

If the media is jammed tightly behind the roller, or if you just can’t get a grip on it, close the
cover, open the front output door, and pull out the paper.

Make sure there is no more media in the printer.

Reinstall the print cartridge.

Close the printer cover to resume printing.
A jam may occur if the output bin is too full and the media is unable to exit the printer:

Empty the media from the output bin.

Clear the jam.
