Understanding Printer 6 Messages This chapter describes the various messages that may appear on your operator panel display. Status messages give information about the current state of the printer. Attendance messages indicate printer errors that you must resolve. Service messages indicate printer failures that may require servicing. Note: For documentation pur- poses, Print and Hold jobs refers to any of the following jobs: Confidential Job, Reserve Print Job, Repeat Print Job, and Verify Print Job. Status Messages The first line (line 1) on the display provides information on the current state or status of the printer, as shown in the tables beginning on page 152. However in some cases, a message is long enough that it requires both lines to display the entire message. Usually the second line (line 2) on the display provides additional information about printer status. See "Warning Messages" on page 158 for more information. Status Messages 151
