Feature Query Modem Add Initialization String Description A modem query is necessary to establish a PC and modem connection: On your computer, click on Start > Settings > Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager > Modems > in the Device Manager window, double click on Smartphone 2003 Wireless USB Modem > select the Diagnostics tab, click Query Modem. Note: If the PC and modem connection is not established in approximately 30 seconds, ActiveSync will take over the USB port. Add an extra initialization string to Modem Properties (change APN as needed) after querying the modem.
