Self-timer shooting 3 Press the shutter button. 1/1000 F2.8 0.0 • The first picture is taken and the second and subsequent pictures are taken automatically at the preset interval. • L lights during time lapse shooting. • The camera automatically enters the sleep mode after the first picture has been taken and stored on the card. The HQ 3072 2304 30 camera is automatically reactivated 4 seconds before taking the next picture. • The camera turns off automatically when the preset number of pictures has been taken. Note • During time lapse shooting, the self-timer, remote control and sequential shooting functions are not available. • If any of the following operations is performed while the camera is in sleep mode, time lapse shooting is canceled and the camera returns to the normal shooting mode. When the battery compartment/card cover is opened, the camera is 5 connected to a computer or the shutter button, arrow pad or any other button is pressed. • Operation of the buttons, mode dial and zoom lever is invalidated from 4 seconds before shooting until after the picture has been taken. • If the battery power or card memory runs out while the camera is in the sleep mode, a warning appears, time lapse shooting is terminated and the camera turns off automatically. Self-timer shooting This function lets you take pictures using the self-timer. Fix the camera securely on a tripod for self-timer shooting. This function is useful for taking pictures when you want to be included in the photograph. Mode dial 1 Select [Y] by repeatedly pressing the Z button. g"Direct buttons" (P.13) • If no operation is performed for about 3 seconds, the self-timer mode is set and the mode selection screen is automatically exited.
