Advanced Setup-Continued Speaker Setup 1 Some of the settings in this section are set automatically by the Automatic Speaker Setup function (see page 49). Here you can check the settings made by the Automatic Speaker Setup function, or set them manually, which is useful if you change one of the connected speakers after using the Automatic Speaker Setup function. Note: The Speaker Setup cannot be carried out while head- phones are connected to the AV receiver/AV amplifier. Speaker Settings 2 See "Speaker Settings" on page 45. Speaker Configuration These settings are set automatically by the Automatic Speaker Setup function (see page 49). With these settings, you can specify which speakers are connected and a crossover frequency for each speaker. The following crossover frequencies can be specified: "Full Band", "40Hz", "50Hz", "60Hz", "70Hz", "80Hz (THX)", "90Hz", "100Hz", "120Hz", "150Hz", or 3 "200Hz". Specify "Full Band" for speakers that can output low- frequency bass sounds adequately, for example, speakers with a good sized woofer. For smaller speakers, specify a crossover frequency. Sounds below the crossover fre- quency will be output by the subwoofer instead of the speaker. Refer to your speaker's manuals to determine the optimum crossover frequencies. Please note that THX recommends any THX main speakers be set to "80Hz(THX)". If you set up your speakers using the Automatic Speaker Setup function, please make sure manually that any THX speakers are set to 80 Hz (THX) crossover. 4 1 2, 3 1, 12 2-11 Press the [RECEIVER] button followed by the [SETUP] button. Speaker Configuration
With these settings, you can specify which speakers are
connected and a crossover frequency for each speaker.
The following crossover frequencies can be specified:
“Full Band”, “40Hz”, “50Hz”, “60Hz”, “70Hz”, “80Hz
(THX)”, “90Hz”, “100Hz”, “120Hz”, “150Hz”, or
“200Hz”.
Specify “Full Band” for speakers that can output low-
frequency bass sounds adequately, for example, speakers
with a good sized woofer. For smaller speakers, specify
a crossover frequency. Sounds below the crossover fre-
quency will be output by the subwoofer instead of the
speaker. Refer to your speaker’s manuals to determine
