To scan a fingerprint 1 Place the top joint of your finger on the fingerprint sensor (1). ✍ Place your fingertip flat in the center of the fingerprint sensor. 2 Swipe your finger perpendicularly across the fingerprint sensor. n 119 N Customizing Your VAIO Computer ! Keep your finger in contact with the fingerprint sensor while swiping. Fingerprint enrollment may fail if you move your finger too fast or too slow. Take about one second to swipe your finger across the sensor.
