To use the numeric buttons in CD mode or in TUNER mode, you have to press the CD button or the TUNER button beforehand to switch the function of the remote control unit from TUNER to CD (or from CD to TUNER). If the remote control unit doesn't work, press the CD button or the TUNER button and try again. (Even when the CD or TUNER button is pressed without pointing at the main unit, the function of the remote control unit will be switched.) For instance, to select track number 35, first press the CD button, and then press "3" and "5". To select numbers less than 10, press "0" and then the number. As an example, to select number 2, press "0" and "2". (Optionally, you may press just the number "2" and then wait a few seconds.) M MUTING Use this button to mute the sound. N TIME During audio CD playback, use this button to change the time display. or monaural. V RDS In FM TUNER mode, use this button to select an RDS mode. W SLEEP Use this button to set sleep timer. If the remote control unit doesn’t work, press the
CD button or the TUNER button and try again.
