2. Select Data > Column Options and the column you want to define, for example, the Pressure column. The Column Options menu opens. 3. Enter the values you want to edit. The fields are populated but allow editing. • Name: Enter the long name for the column. • Short Name: The preferred abbreviation for a column where the column has not been expanded large enough to show the full name. • Units: Enter the unit label. The label is used when values from this column are displayed in graphs and detail boxes. • Displayed Precision: Specifies the number of decimal places or significant values. This default precision is related to the precision of the sensor. • Link to List: Allows the system to link columns to the symbol table and make the variable (such as run1.x) available to other TI-Nspire™ applications outside of the Vernier DataQuest™ application. Linking is the default for most sensors. Note: Heart rate and blood pressure sensors require a tremendous amount of data to be useful, and the default for these sensors is to be unlinked to improve system performance. • Apply changes to all Data Sets: Allows you to apply the settings to all data sets or just to the latest data set. 760 Data Collection and Analysis
