32 Finding Your Way Around Front with the display open The PC Card eject buttons release PC Cards from the corresponding slots. Front with the display open Display panel Power button Speaker Wireless keyboard on/off switch Keyboard indicator panel Speaker Function keys TouchPad Primary control button Secondary control button CD/DVD control buttons Keyboard Palm rest System indicator panel The power button turns the computer on and off. The stereo speakers let you hear sounds, such as system alarms associated with your software, and music from DVD-ROMs and audio CDs. The wireless keyboard on/off switch is used for turning the power on and off for the wireless keyboard when it is removed from the computer. The function keys, when used with the Fn key, activate several different system functions. For more information, see "Hot Keys" on page 241.
