92 Learning the Basics Using the DVD-ROM or multi-function drive Playing an audio CD Before playing an audio CD, turn the volume down. Playing the compact disc at maximum volume could damage your ears. To turn the volume down, use the Volume Control switch or access the Volume Control program (click Start, All Programs, Accessories, Entertainment, Volume Control). Insert an audio CD and close the disc tray. The computer automatically detects a disc in the drive and opens the Audio CD window. To play an audio CD select the Play Audio CD using Windows Media® Player option and click OK. Sample Audio CD window The Windows Media Player window appears.
