Chapter 17 Applications USB NAS When you synchronize files in both directions simultaneously, both storage devices transfer unique files to one another. Files with the same file name are synchronized according to their modification date/time. The difference in modification time between the two files has to be greater than five minutes. More recently modified files overwrite the older ones during synchronization. The following figure illustrates how synchronization works when you synchronize files in both directions simultaneously. Note: You may need to configure any firewalls between the NAS and the syslog clients in order to let the syslog traffic go to the NAS. Cloud Storage User's Guide 243
