Check Control The concept The Check Control monitors functions in the vehicle and issues a message if there is a malfunction in the monitored systems. A Check Control message of this kind includes indicator or warning lamps in the instrument cluster, possibly an acoustic signal, and text messages at the bottom of the Control Display.
