Charge the battery Before charging the battery, it is best to remove it from the motorcycle. Remove the left-hand side fairing (page 282). Unscrew the screw (1) and remove the battery mounting cover (2). Slide out the battery (3) from its housing and, always starting from the negative terminal (-), loosen the screws (4).
