10. Pull the shoulder belts out to ensure that the crotch safety belt buckle is securely fastened. Adjust the lap and shoulder belts by pulling firmly on the adjustment belt. Refer to Figure 9. If the shoulder belts are pulled too tight, pull on the lap and shoulder belts cinch release strap to loosen the shoulder belts on the child's shoulders. Refer to Figure 4. Then retighten the lap and shoulder adjustment belt per Step 10 above. 55
