136 MAINTENANCE AND ADJUSTMENT Spark Arrester This vehicle is equipped with a spark arrester approved for off-road use by the U.S. Forest Service. It must be properly maintained to ensure its efficiency. In accordance with the Periodic Maintenance Chart, clean the spark arrester. Spark Arrester Cleaning WARNING HAZARD Hot muffler. WHAT CAN HAPPEN Can burn your hands. HOW TO AVOID THE HAZARD Wear gloves while cleaning the spark arrester. The engine must be running during this procedure. j WARNING HAZARD Incorrectly installed spark arrester. WHAT CAN HAPPEN Can emit sparks which can cause a fire.
