34 GENERAL INFORMATION Oil Pressure and Temperature Indicator: The oil pressure and temperature indicator goes on to warn the operator whenever the oil is either empty or its temperature has become extremely high. The indicator also goes on when the ignition key is in the "ON" position with the engine not running, however the indicator goes off when the engine is started with adequate oil quantity and normal temperature. Refer to the MAINTENANCE AND ADJUSTMENT chapter for more detailed engine oil information. 4WD Indicator Light: This ATV can be driven in either "2WD" or "4WD". When the selectable 2WD/4WD shift switch is in "4WD", the "4WD" indicator light goes on. After shifting there is a momentary delay before the indicator lights change. If the 4WD indicator flashes for 3 seconds followed by 0.5 seconds Off, the 2WD/4WD actuator has malfunctioned. If the 4WD indicator flashes for 0.5 seconds followed by 3 seconds Off, the Kawasaki engine brake control actuator has malfunctioned. The 4WD indicator will flash for 3 seconds and go off for 3 seconds if both actuators have malfunctioned. Whichever the case may be, see an authorized Kawasaki dealer for repair.
