66 HOW TO RIDE with the throttle fully open until the engine starts. Close the throttle immediately. żIf the starter does not turn, the battery may be almost fully discharged. It is possible to start with the recoil starter. żUsing the recoil starter with the battery disconnected will cause the belt failure detection system to activate. Once activated, it must be reset by a Kawasaki dealer.
