GENERAL INFORMATION 35 CVT Belt Check Indicator Light: This vehicle is equipped with a drive belt failure detection system. Excessive belt wear or belt damage will activate a switch in the "CVT" cover causing the belt indicator light to flash at intervals of 0.35 seconds. Also this indicator serves as an hour meter by which the periodical maintenance is to be provided. The indicator turns on when the vehicle has been used for 100 hours in total of operation. When the belt indicator lights goes on, return the vehicle to the dealer immediately for inspections, adjustment and/or repairs as necessary. Refer to the "Belt Drive Transmission" section on the "Maintenance and Adjustment" chapter. NOTE 4WD & Belt Indicator Lights: j żWhen the main switch is turned on, both indicator lights go on for one second (self-check system) żWhen the main switch is turned off, both indicators blink three times. Oil Pressure and Temperature Indicator Light: żWhen the oil pressure and temperature indicator goes on, check the oil level and inspect the oil cooler fins for clogging with mud and other obstruction. Clear the oil cooler fins if necessary. NOTICE The Belt Check indicator light comes on after 100 hours as a reminder that the drive belt must be inspected for wear.
