Inspect the vent hose before riding and whenever the engine seems to lose power. If the fuel tank is full but the engine feels as if it is running out of fuel, check the vent and vent hoses. Release the drain screw a few turns to drain the
carburetor, and check to see if water or dirt has
accumulated in the carburetor.
A. Carburetor
B. Drain Screw
C. Drain Hose
Tighten the drain screw.
NOTE

If any water or dirt appears during the above oper-
ation, have the fuel system checked by an autho-
rized Kawasaki dealer.
Fuel Tank Vent
The fuel tank vent hoses must be routed as spec-
ified.
The engine may stall or lose power if the fuel tank
vent is plugged or if the vent hoses are pinched.
Inspect the vent hose before riding and whenever
the engine seems to lose power. If the fuel tank is
full but the engine feels as if it is running out of fuel,
check the vent and vent hoses.
