GENERAL INFORMATION 33 Coolant Temperature Warning Light The coolant temperature warning light (TEMP) comes on whenever the coolant temperature rises too high while the vehicle is in operation or when the ignition switch key is turned to ON. If it stays on, stop the engine and check the coolant level in the reserve tank after the engine cools down. Refer to the "Cooling System" section in the "Maintenance and Adjustment" chapter. Also check the breaker of the radiator fan and, if it has functioned, reset the breaker. Be sure to check that the radiator fan is free from mud and other obstacles. See Breaker section of MAINTENANCE AND ADJUSTMENT chapter. NOTICE Do not let the engine continue running with a warning light on. Prolonged engine operation can result in engine damage from overheating. j A. Coolant Temperature Warning Light
