GENERAL INFORMATION 33 Coolant Temperature Warning Light The coolant temperature warning light (TEMP) comes on whenever the coolant temperature rises too high while the vehicle is in operation or when the ignition switch key is turned to ON. If it stays on, stop the engine and check the coolant level in the reserve tank after the engine cools down. Refer to the "Cooling System" section in the "Maintenance and Adjustment" chapter. Also check the breaker of the radiator fan and, if it has functioned, reset the breaker. Be sure to check that the radiator fan is free from mud and other obstacles. See Breaker section of MAINTENANCE AND ADJUSTMENT chapter. NOTICE Do not let the engine continue running with a warning light on. Coolant Temperature Warning Light
The coolant temperature warning light (TEMP)
comes on whenever the coolant temperature rises
too high while the vehicle is in operation or when
the ignition switch key is turned to ON. If it stays on,
stop the engine and check the coolant level in the
reserve tank after the engine cools down.
Refer to the “Cooling System” section in the “Main-
tenance and Adjustment” chapter.
Also check the breaker of the radiator fan and,
if it has functioned, reset the breaker.
Be sure to
check that the radiator fan is free from mud and other
obstacles. See Breaker section of MAINTENANCE
AND ADJUSTMENT chapter.
A. Coolant Temperature Warning Light
NOTICE
Do not let the engine continue running with
a warning light on. Prolonged engine opera-
tion can result in engine damage from over-
heating.
