GENERAL INFORMATION 55 j Shift Levers This vehicle is equipped with three different shift levers: the gear shift lever, the 2WD-4WD shift lever and the differential shift lever. Gear Shift Lever The gear shift lever is located on the dashboard, to the right of the steering shaft. The gear shift lever has four positions: "H" (High), "L" (Low), "N" (Neutral), and "R" (Reverse). Make certain that the vehicle is completely stopped and the engine is idling before shifting from "H" (High) or "L" (Low) to "R" (Reverse) or vice versa. Move the gear shift lever up or down as indicated on the label next to the shift lever. Refer to the "Reversing Gears" section in the "How to Operate" chapter. A. Gear Shift Lever B. Shift Levers
This vehicle is equipped with three different shift
levers: the gear shift lever, the 2WD-4WD shift lever
and the differential shift lever.
Gear Shift Lever
The gear shift lever is located on the dashboard,
to the right of the steering shaft. The gear shift lever
has four positions: “H” (High), “L” (Low), “N” (Neu-
tral), and “R” (Reverse).
Make
certain
that
the
vehicle
is
completely
stopped and the engine is idling before shifting
from “H” (High) or “L” (Low) to “R” (Reverse) or vice
versa.
Move the gear shift lever up or down as
indicated on the label next to the shift lever.
Refer to the “Reversing Gears” section in the “How
to Operate” chapter.
