Customizing Your Phone Ring Tones and Tone Sets There are several distinct ring tones a user can select from to set on the IP phones. You can enable/disable these ring tones on a global or per-line basis. The following table identifies the valid settings and default values for each type of configuration method. Ring Tones Configuration Method IP Phone UI Aastra Web UI Lines 1 to 9 Valid Values Global Tone 1 Tone 2 Tone 3 Tone 4 Tone 5 Silent Global: Tone 1 Tone 2 Tone 3 Tone 4 Tone 5 Silent Per-Line Setting: Global Tone 1 Tone 2 Tone 3 Tone 4 Tone 5 Silent Default Value Global Setting: Tone 1 Global Setting: Tone 1 Per-Line Setting: Global In addition to ring tones, you can configure ring tone sets on a global-basis on the IP phone. Ring tone sets consist of tones customized for a specific country. The ring tone sets you can configure on the IP phones are: • Australia • Brazil • Europe (generic tones) • France • Germany • Italy • Italy2 • Malaysia • Mexico • Russia • Slovakia • UK • US (Default - also used in Canada) 41-001524-00 REV00 - 04.2014 47
