1.8 Removing a Pentium III Processor Follow these steps to remove the Pentium III processor module from the slot. 1. Remove the fan and temperature connections. See Table 1-2. • CPU temperature connector - CN2 • CPU fan connector - CN3 2. Unlock the latches that secure the processor module. Figure 1-5 Unlocking the Module Latches 3. Removing a Pentium III Processor
Follow these steps to remove the Pentium III processor module from the slot.
1.
Remove the fan and temperature connections.
See Table 1-2.

CPU temperature connector – CN2
•
CPU fan connector – CN3

Unlock the latches that secure the processor module.

Firmly hold the processor module and pull it out of the socket.
