While the antenna that ships with the Card is optimal for most uses, there are some instances where moving the antenna above the desktop is necessary to ensure good signal quality and strength. Use the optional Desktop Antenna if, for instance, your computer is placed under or next to a desk that is made of metal, or is under a desk near metal drawers.
