General Information Security features 3 Setting Lock 3 Setting Lock lets you set a password to stop other people from accidentally changing your machine's settings. Make a careful note of your password. If you forget it, you must reset the passwords stored in the machine. Please call your administrator or Brother Customer Service. 3 While Setting Lock is On, you cannot change the following settings without the password: Paper Tray General Setup Print Menu (except Table Print) Network (except Status, Mac Address, Status Info. and Device Info. of Wi-Fi Direct 1) Reset Menu Auto Correction of Color Correction 1 For HL-L8350CDW and HL-L8350CDWT Setting up the password 3 a Press a or b ( + or -) to choose General Setup. Press OK. b Press a or b ( + or -) to choose Setting Lock. Press OK. c Enter a four-digit number for the password. To enter each digit, press a or b ( + or -) to choose a number, and then press OK. d Re-enter the password when the LCD displays Verify:. Changing your Setting Lock password 3 Turn Setting Lock off before you change the password (see Turning Setting Lock on/off on page 106). a Press a or b ( + or -) to choose General Setup. Press OK. b Press a or b ( + or -) to choose Setting Lock. Press OK. c Press a or b ( + or -) to choose Set Password. Press OK. d Enter the registered four-digit password. To enter each digit, press a or b ( + or -) to choose a number, and then press OK. e Enter a four-digit number for the new password. To enter each digit, press a or b ( + or -) to choose a number, and then press OK. f Re-enter the password when the LCD displays Verify:. 105
