IMII[MQ[gRN FMIliflOMflii] Removing the Shuttle Hook 1. Raise the needle to its highest position. 2. Open the shuttle cover on the front of the free arm. 3. Take out the bobbin case by opening itslatch and pulling it out from the shuttle race. 4. Slide the latch levers out from the retaining ring and remove the retaining ring. See fig. A. 0 Retaining ring C) Latch laver 5. Remove the hook by grasping the center post of the hook and pulling it out as shown in fig. B. © Hook ® Hook center post NOTE: When the needle is lowered, the shuttle hook cannot be removed. Cleaning the Shuttle Race 1. Remove any accumulated lint and thread with a brush from the retaining ring, hook, driver and race body . C) Driver C) Race body 2. A cloth dampened with machine oil should be used to wipe the shuttle race clean of lint. 3. Clean the lint from the shuttle hook using a cloth dampened with machine oil. 4. Reassemble the hook with the notch at the top and push the latch levers back to their positions to hold the retaining ring in place. NOTE: If the needle has moved, you will need to return it to its highest position before reinstalling the hook. Conun cepillo, quite toda hilacha opolvoacumu- ladoenelanilloretenedor,garfio, muelleimpulsor y en la pista de la lanzadera. ©0 Impulsor Piste de la lanzadera 2. Limpie el polvo de la lanzadera con un trapo impregnado de aceite de maquina. 3. Limpielashilachas delgarfio dela lanzadera con un trapo impregnado de aceite de maquina. 4. Vuelva a montar elgarfio con la hendidura arriba y vuelva a empujarlaspalancas dela uneta a sus posiciones originates para que mantengan el anillo retenedor en su sitio. NOTA: Sila aguja semovio, debera devolverla a soposicion mds alta antes de volvera instalarelgarfio. Elgarfio no cabra en su alojamiento si la aguja y la palanca tirahilos no estan en su posicion mas alta. 3 4 6 G 1 46

Removing
the
Shuttle
Hook
1.
Raise
the
needle
to
its
highest
position.
2.
Open
the
shuttle
cover
on
the
front
of
the
free
arm.
3.
Take
out
the
bobbin
case
by
opening
its
latch
and
pulling
it
out
from
the
shuttle
race.
4.
Slide
the
latch
levers
out
from
the
retaining
ring
and
remove
the
retaining
ring.

Remove
the
hook
by

hook
and
pulling
it
out
as

in

When
the
needle
is
lowered,

removed.

1.
Remove
any

4.
Reassemble
the
hook
with
the
notch
at
the
top
and
push
the
latch
levers
back
to
their
positions
to
hold
the
retaining
ring
in
place.
NOTE:
If
the
needle
has
moved,
you
will
need
to
return
it
to
its
highest
position
before
reinstalling
the
hook.
The
hook
will
not
go
back
into
place
unless
the
needle
and
take-up
lever
are
in
their
highest
positions.

mas
alta.
2.
Abra
la
cubierta

del
garfio,
enfrente
del

libre.
3.
Saque
el
portacanilla,
abriendo
su
urietametalica
(pestillo)
y
retirandolo
de
la
pista
de
la
lanzadera.
4.
Retire
las
palancas
que
sujetan
el
anillo
retenedor
y
saque
dicho
anillo.

la
pista

Limpie

con
un
trapo
impregnado
de
aceite
de
maquina.
3.
Limpie
las
hilachas
del
garfio
de
la
lanzadera
con
un
trapo
impregnado
de
aceite
de
maquina.
4.
Vuelva
a
montar
el
garfio
con
la
hendidura
arriba
y
vuelva
a
empujar
las
palancas
de
la
uneta
a
sus
posiciones
originates
para
que
mantengan
el
anillo
retenedor
en
su
sitio.
NOTA:
Si
la
aguja
se
movio,
debera
devolverla
a
so
posicion
mds
alta
antes
de
volver
a
instalar
el
garfio.
El
garfio
no
cabra
en
su
alojamiento
si
la
aguja
y
la
palanca
tirahilos
no
estan
en
su
posicion
mas
alta.
