4-5-2. Operating the treadle 4. INSTALLATION 2116M 1. When the treadle (3) is gently depressed to position (B), low-speed sewing is carried out. 2. If it is then depressed as far as (C), high-speed sewing is carried out. 3. When the treadle (3) is pressed forward and then back to the neutral position (A), the needle will stop below the needle plate (when needle down stop mode has been set). If the needle bar has been set to stop in the needle up position, the needle will stop at a position above the needle plate (needle up stop position). 4. When the treadle (3) is depressed all the way to position (D) (or if the treadle (3) is depressed to position (D) and then returned to the neutral position (A)), the mechanism will sew half a stitch or one stitch, and then the needle bar will stop at the needle up stop position.
