12. STANDARD ADJUSTMENTS 12-2. Adjusting the safety switch position 3508M The safety switch (1) is normally installed as shown in figure [A]. However, if the processing method used for the table leaves too much space between the machine head and the table hole, it may adversely affect the operation of the safety switch (1). The standard amount of clearance between the machine head and the table hole is 1.25 mm. (At this time, the clearance between the safety switch (1) and the table hole is 4.5 mm.) If the clearance is too great, place a washer (2) on the machine head side as shown in figure [B] and re-install the safety switch (1). * If the position cannot be satisfactorily adjusted in this way, add more washers of the same thickness.
