This is convenient for focusing accurately on your chosen subject to obtain the composition you desire. The AF frame is fixed to center when an image is shot using the viewfinder with the LCD monitor off or when using the digital zoom, even if you previously set the AF frame to the position you desire. 4 Set the AF frame to [FlexiZone] (p. 81). 5 Press the button several times, until the AF frame turns green. z How many times the button should be pressed varies with the selected shooting mode. 6 Move the AF frame to the position you wish to set using the up, down, left or right button.

Setting an AF Frame Manually
You can move the AF frame manually to the
desired position. This is convenient for focusing
accurately on your chosen subject to obtain the
composition you desire. The AF frame is fixed to
center when an image is shot using the viewfinder
with the LCD monitor off or when using the digital
zoom, even if you previously set the AF frame to
the position you desire.
