I. PREPARATIONS FOR TAKING PHOTOGRAPHS Checking the Battery Level 1. Set the command dial to any setting in the image zone or creative zone, releasing the lock. OS; 2. Data based on Canon's Standard Test Method. * The shooting capacity will be reduced if the autofocus or shutter is used with no film in the camera. A •11 there is nothing at all displayed on the LCD panel, check to see if the batteries are inserted upside down. Re-insert the batteries the correct way up. *Always check the battery level before using the camera. •Remember that batteries can sometimes be difficult to obtain in certain areas. Be sure to have an adequate supply when traveling overseas or when you expect to take large numbers of photographs. 12
