Taking Night-time Shots of People The image was removed due to copyright restrictions When taking shots of sunsets or nighttime shots of people against a background, set the command dial to Av (Aperture-priority AE). When taking flash pictures with the aperture value on a lower setting, the flash illuminates the subjects, while the background is also captured clearly because of the slow shutter speed. This is called Slow Syncro Photography. S With the Rebel X, the same type of flash photography is possible with an external flash. A When taking a slow syncro shot, please use a tripod to avoid camera shake.
