Troubleshooting If the Power Goes Out If power is suddenly lost due to an outage or accidental unplugging, a built-in battery retains the user data settings and the speed dialing settings. However, any sent or received documents stored in memory will be lost. During a power failure, functions are limited as follows: ❑ You cannot make telephone calls. ❑ You cannot send, receive, or copy documents. ❑ You can only use the MultiPASS to receive telephone calls if you connected a telephone or extension phone to your unit. If there is no paper in the multi-purpose tray at this time, the LCD will also display LOAD PAPER.
