Specific Scenes Choose a mode matching the shooting scene, and the camera will automatically configure the settings for optimal shots. 1 Enter [K] mode. zzSet the mode dial to [K] and press the button. 2 Choose a shooting mode. zzTurn the < > ring to choose a shooting mode. zzYou can also choose a shooting mode when the screen shown at left is displayed by pressing the buttons. 3 Shoot. • You can also choose a shooting mode on the screen in step 2 by touching the mode. Still Images Movies I Shoot portraits (Portrait) zzTake shots of people with a softening effect. Still Images Shoot evening scenes without using a tripod (Handheld NightScene) zzBeautiful shots of evening scenes or portraits with evening scenery in the background, without the need to hold the camera very still (as with a tripod). zzA single image is created by combining consecutive shots, reducing camera shake and image noise. Still Images Movies S Shoot underwater (Underwater) zzNatural-colored shots of sea life and underwater scenery, when you use an optional waterproof case (=182). zzThis mode can correct white balance and match the effect of using a commercially available color-compensating filter (= 85). Still Images Movies P Shoot with snowy backgrounds (Snow) zzBright, natural-colored shots of people against snowy backgrounds.
