• Note that images may not look as expected if subjects are also lit by street lights or other light sources. • There will be a delay before you can shoot again, as the camera processes the images. • To emphasize brighter stars and give skies with many small stars more contrast, choose MENU > [4] tab > [Star Emphasis] > [Soft]. To disable this processing that makes some stars more prominent, select [Off]. • For easier viewing, try choosing MENU > [4] tab > [Night Display] > [On] (=100) before shooting. • People will not be captured properly if the flash is not raised. • Image brightness of people in the shot cannot be adjusted by changing the level of exposure compensation (=78). • You can also choose the shooting mode by choosing [ ] in steps 1 - 2 of "Specific Scenes" (=58), touching [ ] to access the setting screen, touching [ ], and then touching the same option or [ ]. Starlight in the image is automatically enhanced, making starry skies look beautiful. 1 Choose [ ]. zzFollow steps 1 - 2 in "Specific Scenes" (=58) and choose [ ], and then press the button. zzPress the buttons or turn the dial to choose [ ], and then press the button. 2 Secure the camera. zzMount the camera on a tripod or take other measures to keep it still and prevent camera shake. 3 Shoot. • Optical zoom is set to maximum wide angle and cannot be adjusted. • There will be a delay before you can shoot again, as the camera processes the images. • To emphasize brighter stars and give skies with many small stars more contrast, choose MENU > [4] tab > [Star Emphasis] > [Soft].
