Specifying the File Name Serial Number Generation Rule Use the following procedure to specify the rule that governs generation of the serial number used in file names (page 179). 1. Press [MENU]. 2. On the "Set Up" tab, select "File No." and then press [X]. 3. Use [S] and [T] to select the setting you want and then press [SET]. To have the camera do this: Select this setting: Remember the current number and always assign the next one, even if all files are deleted or if the memory card is replaced. Continue Restart the serial number from 0001 whenever all files are deleted or the memory card is replaced. Reset Changing the Camera Date and Time Setting When changing the date and time setting, be sure to do so for your Home City (the location where you normally use the camera). If you already have your Home City setting configured correctly, you can use the procedure under "Setting the Date and Time for Your Home City" (page 193) to change the current time setting only, if you want. IMPORTANT! • Changing the time and date setting without correctly configuring your Home City setting first will cause all of the World Time (page 194) dates and times to be off. ■ Selecting Your Home City 1. Selecting Your Home City

This displays the current World Time settings.
