• Electrostatic charge, electrical noise, and other phenomena can cause data to become corrupted or even lost. Make sure that you always back up important data on other media (CD-R, CD-RW, MO disk, hard disk, etc.). Loading a Memory Card into the Camera IMPORTANT! • Make sure you always turn off the camera before loading or removing a memory card. • Be sure to orient the card correctly when loading it. Never try to force a memory card into the slot when you feel resistance. 1. Open the battery cover. While pressing the battery cover, slide it in the direction indicated by the arrow.
