20 C H A P T E R Configuring STP and Prestandard IEEE 802.1s MST This chapter describes how to configure the Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) and prestandard IEEE 802.1s Multiple Spanning Tree (MST) protocol on Cisco 7600 series routers. Note • The IEEE 802.1s MST protocol has transitioned from a prestandard state to a released state. Chapter 19, "Configuring Standard-Compliant IEEE MST," describes the standard-compliant MST implementation supported in Release 12.2(18)SXF and later releases.
