show controllers ethernet-controller Chapter 2 Catalyst 3560 Switch Cisco IOS Commands show controllers ethernet-controller Use the show controllers ethernet-controller privileged EXEC command without keywords to display per-interface send and receive statistics read from the hardware. Use with the phy keyword to display the interface internal registers or the port-asic keyword to display information about the port ASIC. show controllers ethernet-controller [interface-id] [phy [detail]] [port-asic {configuration | statistics}] [ | {begin | exclude | include} expression] Syntax Description interface-id phy detail port-asic configuration statistics | begin | exclude | include expression The physical interface (including type, module, and port number). (Optional) Display the status of the internal registers on the switch physical layer device (PHY) for the device or the interface. This display includes the operational state of the automatic medium-dependent interface crossover (auto-MDIX) feature on an interface. (Optional) Display details about the PHY internal registers. (Optional) Display information about the port ASIC internal registers. Display port ASIC internal register configuration. Display port ASIC statistics, including the Rx/Sup Queue and miscellaneous statistics. (Optional) Display begins with the line that matches the expression. (Optional) Display excludes lines that match the expression. (Optional) Display includes lines that match the specified expression. Expression in the output to use as a reference point. Usage Guidelines This display without keywords provides traffic statistics, basically the RMON statistics for all interfaces or for the specified interface. When you enter the phy or port-asic keywords, the displayed information is useful primarily for Cisco technical support representatives troubleshooting the switch. Expressions are case sensitive.
