Appendix A Online Diagnostic Tests Replication Engine Tests TestL3VlanMet The TestL3VlanMet test verifies that the multicast functionality of the replication engine is working properly. The replication engine is configured to perform multicast replication of a diagnostic packet onto two different VLANs. After the diagnostic packet is sent out from the supervisor engine's inband port, the test verifies that two packets are received back in the inband port on the two VLANs configured in the replication engine. Disruptive for DFC-equipped modules. Disruption is typically less than one second on looped-back ports. Run this test on-demand to test the multicast replication abilities of the replication engine.
